PathfinderWiki shoutout
Fans of gaming-themed webcomic are probably no stranger to Mortellan's wonderful World of Greyhawk. And Mortellan's apparently no stranger to Golariopedia either! Check out the shoutout in his most recent Greyhawk/Golarion crossover (in which the deities of Greyhawk play a Golarion gods in their home campaign): link!
Yes, Wee-Jas would indeed be proud.
Big Changes to the Wiki!
As you have probably noticed, Pathfinder Wiki looks quite a bit different from the last time you logged on here. This is because Wikia, who hosts our site, has decided to "upgrade" the look and functionality of all of its wikis across the board. This means that you may see some strange formatting issues for the next few weeks as we hammer things out. Please excuse the mess and continue enjoying access to the largest collection of Pathfinder Campaign Setting lore in the universe!

Thanks for the recognition and for all your help
I wanted to take the opportunity to deliver the thanks I would have had we won an award tonight. While the recognition of being nominated is more than we could have ever asked for, not winning doesn't change the recognition that is deserved by everyone who has made the Wiki's success possible.
First, thanks to Paizo for creating a system that has inspired so many of us to a level that we have dedicated our free time to making this resource and for being so open with their content for fan-generated, non-commercial projects such as this.
I'd also like to thank fellow Chroniclers, Admins, and members of the greater Paizo community. This isn't just recognition of the most active users, but of everyone who has or will contribute to the site in th…
Wiki Admins Interviewed in Know Direction Podcast
Mark Moreland (User:Yoda8myhead) Alex Greenshields (User:Brandingopportunity), were recently interviewed about the Pathfinder Wiki! (Know Direction Podcast #13) Listen to them stammering on about the wiki for way to long. Many thanks to Ryan Costello and the Know Direction crew for including us in their broadcast.
PathfinderWiki receives ENnie nomination!
First and foremost, thanks to all Chroniclers for all your hard work. Golariopedia wouldn't be a shadow of the resource it is now without the contributions of dozens of active editors. Give yourselves a huge mug of Cayden's best brew and have a friend pat you on the back.
So now everyone's asking, "how can we make sure we win?"
Well, we can keep improving the site every day. Make edits, create articles, and participate in ongoing discussions in the forum and blogs. Spread the word about the site on your personal blogs, websites, messageboards, twitter, facebook, myspace, friendster, etc. Get more people using it, and we get more people editing it.
And lastly, VOTE! Public voting begins on July 16 and runs through July 25. The winners will be an…
Upcoming features
I wanted to draw the attention of new and experienced Chroniclers to some new features wikia has added to the site. I don't see us utilizing all of them, or even most of them, but some my have some potential for growing the community and making it easier to edit.
Ad-free wikis: I already mentioned this one in a forum post, but thought I'd bring it up here, too. Funding the removal of ads from the page is more than I can handle, and I wouldn't expect a general member of the site to do so either, so we should use the forum to brainstorm ways of paying for that. I'd love to see the project go ad-free if we can manage it.
Achievements: Brandingopportunity has been trying to come up with ways of getting people involved in editing for a while, and …
Milestones
This week has been awesome here on PathfinderWiki!
Monday was the project's 2nd anniversary, and we've got lots of great news to celebrate. First, our month-long Anniversary edit giveaway began at the start of the week and will run through the 8th of April. For every ten edits registered users make to the wiki, they receive one chance to win one of several great prizes including a set of custom-painted Pathfinder minis from Reaper and up to $50 in paizo.com credit! Edits can be as simple as adding a category or fixing typos and grammatical errors, or as complex as organizing long articles on detailed subjects throughout the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting; it's up to you how much you can or want to do and all of it is appreciated.

New utility templates make editing easier!
Over the weekend, I added two new Utility templates to the project, taken from other wikimedia sites. As with any utility template, these should make it easier for chroniclers to mark articles that need work and place the articles in categories so that other editors can find them.
The first new template is . When placed in an article, it looks like this:
This alerts editors to the fact that some or all of the page's content might be a better fit on another existing article. It also adds the page to Category:Articles to be merged.
The template should be placed at the top of articles which are out of date. This includes any lists which do not incorporate all known sources, articles for which new content has been added in a canon source, or art…
Red links and degrees of separation
Hello fellow Chroniclers!
We hit another major milestone this weekend, as the wiki's article count passed 2,500! Thanks to everyone who's been helping out with that, whether by making typo and grammar fixes or working on the Campaign Setting Inclusion Initiative. We're now listed among Wikia's Big wikis hub and I've requested the wiki be featured in one of the Wikia Spotlight ads that pepper the margins of the site.
I wanted to take the opportunity to discuss red links and hyperlinking within the project.
Obviously, red links are going to happen. They're a sign of a growing wiki. It means we're making articles and planting the seeds for new content.
But they're also ugly and can signal a weak or undeveloped project if there are too many of th…
My Home!
As some of you have noticed, we got an unexpected upgrade from our friends at Wikia. Take a look at your fancy new My Home page! Fancy, right? In the next few days, amid moving to a new home of my own (like, a new apartment), I'll be looking into how we can modify this new feature to best serve our specific needs on this project. This is also a good time to draw attention to the many customizations you can make to your user page, such as userboxes! So go! Play! Have fun! Wheee!
But seriously, this is a cool new feature that we should try to optimize. Let's see how best we can use it. }} }}
PathfinderWiki hits milestone 2000 articles
In the last few months, we've seen a flurry of activity, with additions made to the project as part of the CSII and by dedicated chroniclers working on their own. Every day the article counter climbed a little bit higher, and in the last week, I knew we were going to top two thousand articles very soon. That threshold was crossed this afternoon by none other than our newest obsessive, Goblin Witchlord, who created Merchants' Quarter as he went through all the city districts of Absalom. I know he didn't add the article just to push us over the edge, but thanks GW! And congratulations to all chroniclers for doing your parts in getting to this point. No one person is responsible for the great resource we have going here.
I went back to tr…
Rise of the Witchlord
Similar to the deluge of content on the Mwangi Expanse and surrounding regions of southern Garund that we saw last month thanks to Amethal2, the last two days have been filled with new content on the nation of Osirion. New Chronicler Goblin Witchlord has really been a source of inspiration to me as I've followed behind tidying things up his work. In under two days he's almost singlehandedly incorporated the whole 32-page Osirion, Land of Pharaohs book onto the wiki. It certainly puts our ongoing work on the CSII to shame. It's reassuring to see how quickly a whole sourcebook can make its way onto the wiki with just the dedicated work of a single Chronicler. It's great to see proof that we aren't quite as far behind as I have occasionally…
Revised policy creation and revision guidelines
I know that most who read these blogs (or at least comment on them) are the same members of the community who have the "Refresh Recent Changes" user box on their User Page and would thus know anyway, but I wanted to take a moment to draw attention to our revised Policies and guidelines article. This is the mother of all policies and governs the way that all the other community-implemented guidelines are proposed, revised, executed, and enforced. So familiarize yourself with it. There are currently several policies with proposed revisions, so if you are interested in participating in how the site is run, these are something to take a look at.
Thanks for all your hard work, everyone, and as always

We're Strong to the Finish ...
... 'cause I think we eats more than spinach.
I have to applaud those that have stuck with this project through times of growth and stagnant periods alike; Pathfinder Wiki was begun in the hopes of building a comprehensive database of Pathfinder lore, and things have come a long way since our start. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say what keeps me coming back isn't just a love of the setting, but the hope that others will make use of and benefit from our work here.
Building such a project can often be an unforgiving task, and sometimes it's easy to wonder if anyone other than our fellow chroniclers will ever even see what we accomplish here. Several of us have been hoping that with the launch of the Pathfinder RPG drawing ever closer our littl…
The Campaign Setting inclusion project
After quite a bit of talk on the subject here, I have created a project page for the systematic inclusion of information from the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting. It looks like a daunting list, but if we as a community can divide the labor and work hard on our individual commitments before getting distracted, making articles (even stubs) on all topics covered, we can include all the information from the CS into the wiki with the added benefit of information speciation and hyperlinking. This is the foundation we need to become the largest source of Pathfinder information bar none. So let's get working, and see how well we can come together as a community!
See the project page here. }}
Welcome to PathfinderWiki!
I know many of you reading this might already be familiar with Golariopedia and some of you might even be Chroniclers yourselves. But whether you're new here or an old regular, let this serve as an official welcome to the community. The resource is only ever as good as we make it, so the larger and more versatile a group of contributors we have, the better!
As the current active administrator of the site, I thought I'd use the blog to introduce many of the community-building aspects of the site to those who may not be familiar with them. Whether or not you become an active Chronicler, there's no reason you can't be part of the community.
First, there's this great blog! Thanks to Wikia for implementing this new feature. Finally there's a gre…
