Inhabitants of Golarion refer to those places on the Material Plane apart from their own world as belonging to the Dark Tapestry. Whether one speaks of a distant star or another planet orbiting their own sun, the Dark Tapestry is often synonymous with mystery, vastness, and legend. It is often used to describe the vast blackness beyond the solar system, and between stars where ancient horrors and evils are thought to lie.[1]

The Solar System[]

Golarion belongs to a solar system of eleven planets (and one massive cloud of debris) which rotate around the same star. While they are all located in relatively close proximity to one another (in the whole of space, that is), these planets and their inhabitants are as varied as one could imagine.[2]
