I recently starting participating in Pathfinder Society (PFS) organized play, via online tables organized though the Pathfinder Society online collective. For those unfamiliar with the collective, it is a Google Group designed specifically to facilitate and organize online Society play. It has allowed us to share character information and chronicles with one another as needed, allowing us to participate officially in the PFS.
Yesterday, however, Google made an announcement that page and file functionality will soon be cut from Google Groups. It poses a unique difficulty for those of us using the site to play electronically, as the page and file features are the primary method of communicating character information. As a result, we have begu…Read more >
Though I'm not sure if the term "abroad" can accurately be applied to another Wikia project...
In any case, I've been itching to stop by and see how things are going over here; I'm glad to see the edits keep rolling in. Now that the Bestiary's been released in pdf format, and for a rather affordable $9.99 at that (perfect for those of us still without work), I'm getting ready to start writing my first Pathfinder adventure. I'm leaning toward setting things in Andoran, most likely in the region of Falcon's Hollow and as a follow-up to the events detailed in the modules centered in the region; are there any more in the works that we've been made aware of? The tricky thing will be writing something that will mesh with what's already been flesh…Read more >
My plate's too full. Again. As I'm sure those around here who know me can attest to, I have a tendency to take on more projects than I should.
Looking back at when this project was just getting off the ground, I knew this would be an issue. At the time I was asked if I would take on an Admin role here, I had already been considering such a role on two other projects; I ended up accepting the position here and over at HammerWiki. I had spent a fair bit of time contributing to other projects: EQ2i, the Forgotten Realms Wiki. But ultimately I knew nothing I had done previously would compare to what I was taking on as an Administrator. And I was doing it twice. I should really know better.
Since then I've actually taken on the same responsibilit…Read more >
... 'cause I think we eats more than spinach.
I have to applaud those that have stuck with this project through times of growth and stagnant periods alike; Pathfinder Wiki was begun in the hopes of building a comprehensive database of Pathfinder lore, and things have come a long way since our start. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say what keeps me coming back isn't just a love of the setting, but the hope that others will make use of and benefit from our work here.
Building such a project can often be an unforgiving task, and sometimes it's easy to wonder if anyone other than our fellow chroniclers will ever even see what we accomplish here. Several of us have been hoping that with the launch of the Pathfinder RPG drawing ever closer our littl…

If a dragon falls and the bard has no voice with which to spread the news, can the tale be told?
I'm not sure why I find the idea of a mute bard so appealing. It's a concept I've thought about on several occasions, but never really paid much attention to. At least not consciously; turns out my subconscious has been keeping track of a couple of options to make such a character viable. And it seems as good a place as any from which to start my first blog post:
- Shoanti Totem Spear
- The Totem Spear appeared in part four of the Curse of the Crimson Throne, A History of Ashes, tucked away in a sidebar on page 35; CotCT is by far my favorite of the Adventure Paths, and I imagine it stands out in my mind because I've always wanted to play a barbari…
